In several very early '70s movies my name appears in the credits as Annie Sands. I also made approximately fifty 8mm loops, which are not listed here. Please don't buy the video "Annie Sprinkle, Queen of Kink" it's really bad and not kinky at all.

Post-Modern Sex Films

Current Flow: 1987. Prod.: The Gay Men's Health Crisis. Video. When AIDS hit, the heterosexual porn industry didn't much take to using safer sex, but the safe-sex educators took to using porn to get their message across. I believe this was the first safe-sex education video for lesbians, and it was the first time I used a dental dam.

Cherry Hustlers: Mid-'70s. Directed and produced by Art Ben. Prod.: Art Mart. 16mm. I have sex with Vanessa Del Rio and a guy who fists me on the disco dance floor with everyone obliviously dancing around. John Travolta ain't got nothin' on this.
Come with Me My Love: Late '70s. Directed and produced by “Luigi Manicottale,” who is really cult favorite director Doris Wishman. Prod.: Classic X Video, VCA. Video. Doris always wanted to make horror movies, but at the time she could only raise the money for porn movies. So her porn movies are a lot like horror movies. This is the film Alfred Hitchcock always wanted to make but didn't have the guts to. Porn at its most wonderfully absurd. A young woman's jealous husband dies, and every time she has sex with someone, his ghost comes back to haunt her. I get stabbed by the ghost between the breasts. My bad acting is a must-see, if you can possibly find a copy.
Consenting Adults: Mid-'80s. Directed by Gerard Damiano. Prod.: Evert Ent./Video X Pix. 35mm and 16mm. Veronica Vera and I conceived and starred in this pseudo-documentary that was filmed mostly at The Sprinkle Salon. Everyone plays themselves doing what they like to do sexually in real life. This is a very good, creatively done porn movie, plus I had a really beautiful strawberry blonde hair color at the time. Veronica does a very sexy scene about writing erotica, and I get done by my real-life macho biker lover, Michael Cycle, while laced very tight in a corset.

Devil Inside Her: 1976. Directed by Zebedy Colt. Prod: Jason West/Taurus, Dist: California Video. 16mm. A devil worship flick, made in the director's backyard in Woodstock. In a satanic ritual, I get brutally gang-banged by four big, rough guys. At that time I was very turned on by rape fantasies (which was America's number-two most popular fantasy). Oriental Techniques in Pain and Pleasure: 1983. Directed by Phil Prince. Prod.: Avon Video. 16mm. I get kidnapped, raped, and forced to do “abominable, detestable sex acts,” for example, fist-fuck my “brother” to my elbow. Billy Kerr could take anything up his butt, including an entire rack of billiard balls. In principle, I didn't really want to do violent movies (I was raised by pacifist parents), but I remember I really needed the money for something at the time and was offered $500 a day. It sounded like fun, and I was very curious to see what it would be like to do violent movies. An excellent example of the kind of porn not to make.

Streets of Sin Francisco: Director unknown. (Regency Home Video, 1972) This one looks as if it were made in the '60s by a bunch ofhippies, which we actually were, tie dyed T-shirts and all. A half-dozen unself-conscious, fleshy, wall-to-wall orgy scenes filmed without sound. The voices and sex sounds were dubbed in later by Jamie Gilles and Tina Russell without any attempt to synchronize them to the moving mouths. Streets of Sin Francisco was filmed in Manhattan.

Four construction workers search the New York City sewers for a mysterious animal and emerge contaminated. Four nurses (of which I am one) have to run routine sperm count tests. Sunset Strip Girls Early '70s: . Directed by Cid Roth. Prod.: TGA. 16mm. Contains the exact same orgy scene as The Streets of Sin Francisco.
Teenage Covergirl: 1973. Directed and produced by James Tagger. Prod.: Sensorium. 16mm. This was actually the first porn movie I ever made.
